When Is a Niche Too Niche?

Sticking to One Niche Felt Impossible—So I’m Doing This Instead

I’ve been thinking a lot about the advice from social media experts: “Pick one niche and stick to it.”

But here’s the thing—I’m a layered human (like an onion, but make it ✨interesting✨). I have multiple interests, passions, and quirks. Surely, I can find a community in one of them, right?

So, where’s the line? When does niching down become so restrictive that you start losing parts of yourself? If I were selling a single product, the “one niche, one funnel” strategy might make sense. But that’s not my approach.

I want to talk about wellness, travel, business—all while helping you navigate the world of starting a business without quitting your 9-5.

So, here’s my takeaway:

If your niche forces you to hide your other interests or drains your creativity, then it’s too niche. But if you have an undying passion for something super specific (flower arranging? beekeeping?), then hyper-focusing on it could be your secret sauce.

At the end of the day, your journey is yours—there’s no one-size-fits-all.
